WASHINGTON, D.C. \u2014 Nominations for the inaugural Contact Lens Institute (CLI) Culture Awards are now being accepted through Nov. 30. The program honors eye care professionals who foster a positive contact lens culture, exemplifying behaviors and actions reflected in CLI\u2019s new\u00a0The Culture Calculation: Data-Backed Behaviors for Contact Lens Success\u00a0report<\/a>\u00a0to enhance patient experiences and business success.<\/p>\n

Any member of the U.S. eye care community\u2014whether a practice, team, institutional clinic, or individual\u2014who prescribes or supports soft contact lens prescribing is eligible for consideration. Self-nominations are allowed and encouraged.\u00a0Complete nomination information is available at\u00a0contactlensinstitute.org\/awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cContact lens patients consistently describe the multiple vision, lifestyle, and confidence-boosting aspects of wear, and numerous practices have realized the significant lifetime value of this population. While past CLI research has shown that many eye care providers are missing the opportunity to talk about contact lens options\u00a0with two-thirds of patients<\/a>, 44% of glasses-only wearers are open to considering contact lenses<\/a>. A contact-lens-affirming culture helps ensure that these conversations are happening regularly,\u201d said Stan Rogaski, executive director of the Contact Lens Institute. \u201cOur new Culture Awards are designed to discover outstanding contact-lens-prescribing practices, then inspire others to adopt the same.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nominators simply need to provide a concise response (750 words or less in total) that addresses at least two of the following questions:<\/p>\n
